The age of voyeurism

I read in a magazine that blogs are helping out authorities in getting on-line confessions from unruly youth. It's kinda wierd having to confess your crimes on the internet but apparently these kids perceive their blogsites to be "safe" and "private".

Only a few people i think share their entire life on the net, maybe none at all. I certainly don't. At times i must admit it feels like i'm the only one who gets to read it again and again... and then of course your friends who goes online a lot. I remember wanting to rant about something in my blog and then hesitated. It was the middle of the night, and i couldnt sleep. I decided to turn on my computer, connect to the internet and logged on to my blog. But while i was trying to log on, i realized i really didnt want that part of my life publicly documented.

The age of Voyeurism is upon us. The many reality shows, Big Brother, blogs, livejournals, etc. and all of us seem to want to be in on it.

Has the world become so lonely that we constantly seek attention?

- Live like there's no tomorrow. Love like it's your last.

i love this post, shali. yeah, we ARE in the age of voyeurism. i find myself looking for people i just met in friendster.

i read somewhere that despite the onslaught of technological breakthroughs that make it possible for people to connect, people around the world are statistically getting even lonelier. isn't that ironic?

this is why

"you gotta believe in magic
tell me how two people find each other
in a world that's full of strangers"

sorry, i couldn't resist putting that in. (which is not to say that i like david pomeranz. because god know how much i want to pluck all his nose hairs)

i guess this means i'm saying hi. :)
