My Saturday...

While most people at this time would be getting up and ready for their saturday night life, i'm already in the office trying to release a rushed material.
Last night, or rather this morning, i got home at around 4am. My team got directions from client to push through with our project thursday night (late night). Knowing all too well it's going to be next to impossible to break on the weekend with an OOH material, they push agency to rush it even though we clearly specified when they put the project on-hold earlier this week that the timetable would be moved and that the weekend break would not be possible. But as a good accounts person, we tried to make it possible. So we spend a grueling 20hrs (estimate) trying to finish the damn materials. and when it came to secure their approvals... 1. clients were already drunk, 2. clients were already sleeping. And to think they were the ones who wanted the materials rushed for the weekend. You'd think they'd have the decency to wait with you as you work until the early morning.
But here i am now, in the office, on a beautiful saturday afternoon, trying to release their material because they need it. Cut to: "Printing of the billboards is on hold" What the @^$^!!!
You just wasted my time!
But in fairness to our clients, they're in their office. All of them. And as much sa we are frustrated, so are they. It all boiled down to the war of the heads. And we at the bottom of the corporate spectrum are caught in the middle.
Waiting... still waiting. Feedback please... asap.
- Live like there's no tomorrow. Love like it's your last.
